Year round, the European TGV Paris -Milan provides up to four connections per day and stop at Modane . In the winter additional trains operates between Paris and Modane . Many regional connections link Modane with Lyon and Chambery.
By road:
Very convenient access from the A43 or A41 Alpine motorways from Geneva , Lyon, Valence , exit Modane -Haute Maurienne Vanoise and RD1006 to Modane . Aussois is 7 km ( D215 ) .
In summer access possible via the great Alpine passes of Mont Cenis, Iseran and Galibier .
Aussois is 107 km from Chambery, 145 km from Grenoble , 200 km from Lyon and 110 km from Turin.
By plane :
Aussois is less than 2 hours drive from the airports of Lyon , Geneva, Chambéry , Annecy or Turin. Shuttle runs between airports and Modane in winter Saturdays.
